Begin your Georgian journey with a full-day exploration of Tbilisi, a city where centuries of history, diverse architecture, vibrant streets, and modern Georgian life come together. Start at Freedom Square, the heart of Georgia’s capital, and continue along Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi’s grand central boulevard, known for its historic architecture, cultural institutions, theaters, galleries, cafés, and lively atmosphere. Continue toward the historic heart of the city and explore Europe Square and Meidan Square before entering the charming streets of Old Tbilisi. Discover Abanotubani, the historic sulfur bath district that reflects one of the city’s most distinctive traditions, and walk through the atmospheric streets of Kote Abkhazi and Shardeni, filled with cafés, restaurants, galleries, and beautifully restored historic buildings. Visit the famous Tbilisi Clock Tower, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, before continuing toward the Mtkvari River and the modern side of Old Tbilisi. Cross the iconic Bridge of Peace and explore Rike Park, where historic Tbilisi meets contemporary architecture and riverside leisure. From Rike Park, enjoy spectacular views toward Narikala Fortress and the hills surrounding the Old Town. After breakfast, depart from Tbilisi and begin an unforgettable journey along the historic Georgian Military Highway toward the spectacular mountains of Kazbegi. Our first stop is the beautiful Zhinvali Reservoir, surrounded by forested mountains and turquoise waters. Continue to the historic Ananuri Fortress Complex, an impressive medieval landmark overlooking the Aragvi River and the reservoir. The fortress is one of the most memorable cultural stops along the route to the Greater Caucasus. Continue through the dramatic mountain landscapes of the Georgian Military Highway and stop at the spectacular confluence of the White and Black Aragvi Rivers, where two rivers meet in a remarkable natural setting. As the road climbs higher into the mountains, arrive in Gudauri and enjoy the panoramic views from the Gudauri View Point. Begin the day with a visit to Bodbe Monastery, one of the most important spiritual and cultural landmarks in the Sighnaghi area. Explore the peaceful monastery grounds and enjoy beautiful views over the surrounding Kakheti landscape. Continue to Sighnaghi, the charming hilltop town known for its narrow cobblestone streets, historic architecture, traditional balconies, defensive walls, and spectacular views across the Alazani Valley toward the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Enjoy a walking tour through the historic streets of Sighnaghi, with time for photography, local shops, cafés, and panoramic viewpoints. Continue the Kakheti experience with a visit to a traditional Georgian wine cellar. Discover the region’s ancient winemaking traditions, learn about traditional Georgian wine production, and enjoy a guided wine tasting featuring local wines. The main destination of the day is Tsalka (Dashbashi) Canyon, a remarkable natural monument carved by the Khrami River through volcanic rock. The canyon is surrounded by dramatic cliffs, lush vegetation, cascading waterfalls, and unique natural landscapes. Upon arrival, begin your visit with a walk along the scenic canyon trail. The approximately 1.8-kilometer trail leads through the canyon landscape toward the waterfalls and offers numerous opportunities to enjoy nature and take photographs. Continue to the famous Diamond Glass Bridge, one of the most distinctive attractions of Tsalka Canyon. Suspended high above the gorge, the bridge offers spectacular panoramic views of the canyon, waterfalls, surrounding cliffs, and the river below.
